I’m excited to tell you that I’ve finally taken the time to remix my song “Patrol” which was originally on my demo album “So Clearly” that I released in 2008. This song has been a fan favorite over the last couple of years, and I am continually surprised when people request that I perform it at live shows. So, I’ve decided to make a decent recording of the song since so many people like it.
When I recorded the original version of “Patrol” I had just started my schooling at Berklee College of Music. “Patrol” was the first song I ever did using the program Reason and was my first attempt at MIDI sequencing. I also didn’t have good mics or audio interfaces at the time, and had next to no skills in mixing. I guess it was about time to do this song a little justice in recorded form, I hope you like what I’ve done with it!

New Tune Tuesday Week 2 song “The Star” now up!

I’m excited to announce that I’ve launched a new YouTube channel: New Tune Tuesday!

My old channel (youtube.com/arynmichellemusic) will still be active with music videos and live performances, but this new channel is going to be exclusively dedicated to a brand NEW song added every TUESDAY!

I have lots of reasons for wanting to launch this new channel. First of all, I want to give you new music to experience on a continual basis. I want to stay engaged with you, my friends and fans, and I want to keep you up to date on what I’m creating. This will also give you an excellent chance to give me feedback on new songs. You can tell me what songs you like, which ones you don’t, give me suggestions for new topics to write about, or changes to a song I’ve posted.
Another reason this new channel will be great is that it will compel me to write new songs often. I’ve been frustrated the last several months that I haven’t been consistently writing new songs. It’s been a challenge to find the time while promoting the new album. With New Tune Tuesday I will be held accountable to give you a brand new song every week, so it keeps me continually writing!
Lastly, I’m working very hard to define my unique niche as a musician. I think one of my most unique talents is to be able to generate thoughtful songs quickly. I’m hoping this new channel will help to raise awareness about my music and recording projects. You can help by suggested the channel to your friends!

Here’s how it works: Every Tuesday I will post a new video of me playing a new song live. These will not be fancy videos or demos, just me sharing with you a new song hot off the presses. To prove to you that the song is BRAND NEW, I will ask you to place a comment on the video with ideas for my song for the next week. You can leave a word, phrase or suggested title (anything you like) I will choose one comment from the previous week and work it into my song for the following week!
