If you’re heavy, heavy all the time
feeling weighted down with all the lies
if your apathy is growing thick
and you’re tired of all the parlor tricks
you just can’t decide
how to make it right
If you struggle, struggle all the time
with a cloud of doubt you can’t deny
and your happiness is stretching thin
trying to cover all the ugliness
step outside yourself,
take a minute and look around
and if you’re feeling helpless,
maybe you can help someone else

Who you gonna lift up? Lift up

How you gonna live today?
When you gonna stand up?
If a slave can rise to be a king
and a tribe can walk across a sea
if a righteous child can wear can a crown
if a boy can bring a giant down
think what you can do
no matter what you been through
if a hypocrite can right his wrongs
if the paralyzed get up and walk
if a Pharisee can see the Light
if there’s treasure in a widow’s mite
just because you’re small
doesn’t mean a thing at all
and just because you’re fallen
doesn’t mean you can’t overcome
