Patrol Remix: name your own price!

I’m excited to tell you that I’ve finally taken the time to remix my song “Patrol” which was originally on my demo album “So Clearly” that I released in 2008. This song has been a fan favorite over the last couple of years, and I am continually surprised when people request that I perform it at live shows. So, I’ve decided to make a decent recording of the song since so many people like it.
When I recorded the original version of “Patrol” I had just started my schooling at Berklee College of Music. “Patrol” was the first song I ever did using the program Reason and was my first attempt at MIDI sequencing. I also didn’t have good mics or audio interfaces at the time, and had next to no skills in mixing. I guess it was about time to do this song a little justice in recorded form, I hope you like what I’ve done with it!

Please feel free to hear the song, download it for free or name your price for the mp3:

LYRICS:

“Patrol”
Aryn Michelle 2008
Black moon rolls on a still night as I face the lonesome rider
horses all of red and white under the trees and by his side
as I gaze across the ravine, I cry out, “Lord, what are these?”
and the rider speaks to me, “Across the earth they will patrol.”

Patrol, patrol, patrol
patrol, patrol, patrol, patrol

I once knew a captain that tossed a ship across the sea
water threatened his life from above and from beneath
as he gazed across the deep, he cried out, “Lord what of me?”
he appoints a boy to be atop the bow, he shall patrol

Patrol, patrol, patrol
patrol, patrol, patrol, patrol

and you are like a soldier in the army of all men
watching ever closer for an attack that will descend
be alert for evil and greed, and cry out, “Lord, help our need”
to preserve the harmony, everyday pray and patrol

Patrol, patrol, patrol
patrol, patrol, patrol, patrol
Patrol, patrol, patrol, patrol
patrol, patrol, patrol, patrol
